Happy Easter!

It was a perfect sacrifice by a perfect person to perfect some very imperfect people.  By that single offering, he did everything that needed to be done for everyone who takes part in the purifying process.

Have a great Easter!  He is RISEN!

Soap Trios

I'm proud to announce that Revive will now be selling soap trios!  I've been packaging these up for my upcoming show on May 7th and 8th.  Let me know what you think!

I currently have three trios.
Spring Soap Trio: Lemontini, True Lavender, and Skinny Dip
Mother's Day Trio: Uncomplicated, Euphoria, and True Lavender
Best Sellers: Euphoria, Sweet Citrus, and Blue Fir

I put little circular labels behind the soaps so when you pick them up out of the box, there is a little label so you know what scent the soap is.
I designed these in Adobe Illustrator, printed on white card stock, and cut with a circular puncher I got at Hobby Lobby.  If you are interested in making labels like these, don't forget to use your 40% off one item coupon at Hobby Lobby!

Hopefully these will be for sale in my Etsy shop and on my website soon!

Cut Cara!

Cut Cara Soap

Hey everyone!  Here are the anticipated pictures of my cut carrot and shea butter soap!  The other photos didn't turn out, so hopefully I'll be able to add more soon.

The soap is hardening very nicely.  I cut the bars into 3 oz. cubes, give or take.  They are really cute, with a soft orange color.  There is not really any scent to these bars which is what I wanted since it is a facial bar.  I haven't tested them yet, but after a few more days of curing I'll report on how well they performed on my face!  Hopefully they will be as nice as expected, and I'll be able to add them to my store.

Just found out I got a 98 on my economics test and a 85 on my science test.  Just proves that I'm cut out to be a business major!  I could do econ in my sleep :)

Have a Reviving Day!

Carrot Something

Hey friends!

Spring is in the air!  I have recently been inspired to make a facial bar with real carrots in it.  So I did some researching, and I found that several people have done just that.  I decided that I would try to make my very own carrot facial bar filled with shea butter, fresh carrot juice, and kaolin clay!

Carrots are filled with Vitamin A, and when used in soap, they help buff away all that dead skin.  Shea butter is a super moisturizing oil with a lotion-y lather.  Kaolin clay is an all natural clay that draws impurities from the skin without removing any of your skin's natural oils.  This clay also help circulation and is suitable for all skin types.

I knew that I wanted to add a facial bar into Revive's current line of soaps.  I wanted to use fresh carrot juice, so I pureed carrots and squeezed them in a cheesecloth leaving all of the carrot juice behind.

Fresh carrot juice

Since this is a facial bar, I used no colorants or essential oils.  However, the carrots gave the soap a great light sherbet orange tint.  I will let you know if there is any scent in the soap after I cut it in a few days!

I cannot wait to test this new soap out!

I need some help (as always) in naming this soap.  Carrot Facial Soap is just too boring for me!  Right now it is just the Carrot Something Soap... I need something that incorporates carrot and something with the face in the name... hm, any ideas?
My ideas so far are: Carrot Face, Clean Carrot, or Carota (carrot in Italian)

Has spring inspired you to make any new soaps?!

Have a Reviving day!
